High-Performance Structural Alloys Research Group
We are a young, dynamic research group interested in developing high-performance structural alloys for harsh environments and critical applications. Currently, we use a multi-principal element design approach to develop concentrated alloys with properties superior to the existing materials, and we focus on the following aspects of concentrated alloys:
Alloy design simulation via Thermo-Calc software.
Fabrication via casting and additive manufacturing routes.
Phase transformation kinetics.
Tensile and deformation behavior at room and cryogenic temperatures.
High-temperature degradation.
Our research is supported by the IIT(BHU) - Institute seed grant, DST - Core Research Grant, DRDO - Industry Academia Center of Excellence, and Tata Steel.
